We are proud to announce that Golden Shield is launching a new community outreach initiative — bringing talks on online scam awareness directly to senior living communities across the country. Whether in person or via a convenient remote session, our mission is simple: to empower older adults with the knowledge and confidence to stay safe in today's digital world.
Our first talk is already scheduled for April 2026, and we'd love to bring this program to your community next.
Why This Matters
Online scams targeting seniors are on the rise. From fraudulent phone calls and phishing emails to fake tech support schemes and romance scams, older adults are increasingly targeted by sophisticated bad actors. At Golden Shield, we believe that education is one of the most powerful defenses, and that every senior deserves access to it.
What to Expect
Our talks are designed to be friendly, accessible, and genuinely useful: no technical background required. Topics covered include:
How to recognize the most common types of online scams
Red flags to watch for in emails, texts, and phone calls
Simple steps to protect personal and financial information
What to do if you suspect you've been targeted
Resources for reporting fraud and getting help
Sessions are available both in person (where applicable) and remotely via video conference, making it easy for any senior living community—regardless of location—to participate.
Bring This Program to Your Community
If you're a senior living community director, activities coordinator, family advocate, or simply someone wh
o wants to help protect the seniors in your life, we'd love to hear from you.
Scheduling a talk is easy, just reach out and we'll work with you to find a time and format that works best for your community.
